JULYBAMBU® Bamboo plywood are available in six colors: Carbonised, Bleach white, Zebra, Natural Strand Woven Carbonized Strand Woven, and Tiger Strand Woven
The bamboo strips are carbonised in the autoclave for several hours and the combination of heat and pressure releases the natural starches, sugars and moisture in the strips, giving them their typical brown caramel colour.JULYBAMBU® can control the depth of carbonisation by controlling the time, pressure and heat. Carbonation can be divided into several grades of colour.
(The pictures are for reference only, and there may be differences in color due to lighting issues)
The JULYBAMBU production process can divide the carbonation colour into 6 grades. They are JYCOR-1, JYCOR-2, JYCOR-3, JYCOR-4, JYCOR-5, JYCOR-6; as each batch of JULYBAMBU has 3 grades of colours in each order, but the difference between the 3 grades of colours will not be very big, for example, JYCOR-1 to JYCOR-2, JYCOR-3, JYCOR-4; JYCOR-5 to JYCOR-6, JYCOR-7 For example, JYCOR-1 to JYCOR-1-3; for example, JYCOR-2 to JYCOR-4; their colours are close.
According to the difference in colour, bamboo plywood are divided into front and back. We call them AB boards, and the colour difference of the back side will be bigger than the front side, JULYBAMBU® can also do both sides of the bamboo plywood are A-grade colours. What is an A-grade colour? It is that the colour deviation of the bamboo board’s board surface is very small, JULYBAMBU® needs to spend more manpower to manually select, and the utilisation of raw materials will be reduced, so the cost is higher than AB grade.
Carbonation is the most environmentally friendly process to produce bamboo panels, the colour is close to the original colour of bamboo, and during the production process, it does not add chemicals, does not produce wastewater and waste residue, and no pollution to the environment.JULYBAMBU® is a practitioner of protecting the environment, JULYBAMBU® highly recommend the carbonation colour.
Bamboo natural colour is not really natural , it’s bleaching color, the color is more lighter than natural bamboo. The production requires chemical dyes of hydrogen peroxide bleaching to bleach the bamboo fibres. It is chlorine-free and acid-free and will not cause much damage to the fibres. Hydrogen peroxide bleach can effectively remove the pigment and impurities in bamboo fibre. It can also improve the colour and appearance of the bamboo fibre. In the bleaching process, the amount and concentration of bleach should be controlled to avoid waste and pollution of the environment. JULYBAMBU is a company that protects the earth and reduces the cutting down of trees, JULYBAMBU does not recommend the use of chemical sources to treat bamboo products.
JULYBAMBU’s Zebra Grian is the result of using carbonised colour grades JYCOR-1 and JYCOR-6, alternately laid flat, to create a zebra effect colour.
JULYBAMBU Strand Woven Bamboo is available in two colours, carbonised and natural Strand Woven.
Carbonised is dark brown color,Strand Woven Bamboo is made by separating the bamboo fibres at a very high temperature and pressing them with glue under extreme pressure equipment, which makes it harder than ordinary bamboo panels.
The production process for Natural Strand Woven Bamboo is the same as carbonised, the only difference is that Natural Strand Woven Bamboo is not carbonised at high temperatures.
Carbonized Strand Woven Bamboo fiber and natural Strand Woven Bamboo fibre are pressed together to form the colour of the tiger grain.
